Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
